Timetabler Arbor

Welcoming TimeTabler to The Key Group

I’m really pleased to welcome the schools, products and teams behind TimeTabler to The Key Group today.

I wanted to explain a little bit about why we chose to acquire TimeTabler, and what this means for the schools we work with.

Who is TimeTabler?

TimeTabler is a leading timetabling, options and cover management tool used by 2,700 schools.

Thoughtfully designed by experts with years of experience in schools, TimeTabler takes the busywork and hassle out of creating your school timetable. Their ethos is that school time is best spent making strategic timetabling decisions which will lead to a quality timetable. Their software is built to help schools be as hands-on or hands-off as they would like to be when creating a timetable.

How do you see Arbor and TimeTabler working together?

At Arbor, we’re proud to support over 6,000 schools with managing their student, staff and parent/guardian communities through Arbor MIS. We have always recognised the central importance of timetabling to our schools, and are delighted that we can now work even closer with the TimeTabler team to offer a best-of-breed MIS<>TimeTabler integration to our community.

Plus, with Arbor MIS, Arbor Finance and TimeTabler in our family of products, we can now help schools and trusts manage a broader set of workflows, data, and key operational processes – fundamentally helping to change the way schools work for the better.

Will you work on improving the product integration between Arbor and TimeTabler?

Yes. We are particularly keen to make sure that schools using a number of Arbor products get the benefit of our product experts working together to create the best experience for our schools. In the short term, we’ll be working with the TimeTabler team to understand how we can improve the Arbor<>TimeTabler integration, and to roadmap any changes via our usual roadmap process. Eventually, our goal is for Arbor to become an integrated suite of tools.

Will you continue to offer TimeTabler to schools using other MIS software?

Absolutely. We strongly believe that all schools deserve to use the best tools and software, and that they should have choice – regardless of which MIS they use.

Will you continue to integrate Arbor with other third-party timetabling solutions?

Yes! As we believe schools should be able to choose the timetabling solution they want.

What will happen next?

Between Arbor, ScholarPack, Integris, Arbor Finance and TimeTabler we now serve over 10,000 schools, and can further increase our investment into both product and service to provide outstanding value to our schools. We are particularly keen to make sure that schools using a number of Arbor products get the benefit of a tightly integrated suite, and will be working on this via our usual roadmap process.

The team at TimeTabler cares deeply about improving schools, just like we do. We have been really impressed when meeting with the team to see how much we’re aligned about wanting to make a lasting, positive impact on the sector. Doing the right thing for customers is absolutely ingrained in what we do, and I’m delighted to be working with such genuinely mission-driven people. You should see this in your interactions with them and us.

We will use our increased size and scale to focus on improving product innovation and support across all brands, and customers should see a marked increase in value as they get additional features as part of their existing package.

I’m excited for this next stage in our mission to help schools transform the way they work. Watch this space!
