We’re proud to announce today that Vale of Glamorgan has chosen Arbor MIS for its 53 schools! As England’s most popular cloud MIS, we are now ready to implement across all Welsh LAs and are delighted to be supporting schools in the Vale of Glamorgan, our very first Welsh Local Authority.
The Vale’s primaries, secondaries and special schools will join our community of 8,500 schools, 700 MATs and 50 Local Authorities. We’re excited to go on this journey with the Vale of Glamorgan team as they use Arbor to transform the way their schools work for the better.

How Arbor MIS is designed to support schools in Wales
Arbor was recently rated the best MIS in the UK for its functionality, integrations and intuitiveness. On top of these features that schools in England already know and love, we are building features specifically tailored for Welsh schools, including:
- Welsh language in the MIS
Users can make the most of the MIS in the language they’re most comfortable with and communicate with parents in both English and Welsh - CTF imports and exports
Giving schools the tools to manage pupils moving between schools with ease - Recording ALN information
Comprehensive reporting and management of pupils with ALN needs - Qualifications in Wales
Schools can coordinate and run all their examinations and results in Arbor - Support for all statutory returns
Enabling users to complete the required Welsh statutory returns in just a few clicks, including Pupil Level Annual School Census, School Workforce Census, Attendance Returns, Post-16 Return - Seamless integration with Hwb
Schools can keep their trusted third party tools, and connect them with Arbor

The UK’s most popular MIS
Last term, 3 in 4 English schools who switched MIS chose Arbor (Source: DfE Census). We are thrilled that the Vale of Glamorgan has joined our ever-growing community and are looking forward to making a difference in their schools.
